Pray for and Always be Looking for These Marks In Our Lives and the Church
THREE BRIEF WORDS ABOUT THIS DOCUMENT
- The ten “Marks” below flow out of 2 Chronicles 30-31 that highlights the revival under King Hezekiah. I believe them to be “marks” of what happens when the Lord is at work in and among His people. Considering that, I offer these as prayer points for our church, leading up to the Night of Prayer and Praise.
- This document allows for us to pray in agreement this week. The Marks are divided into days so we can be praying for the same thing each day, together. These marks will occupy our prayer focuses now and for the New Year.
- Be sure to always pray for yourself, first.
- Briefly, but honestly, pray over each request. Unless you want to devote significant time to each of them for yourself, you can simply read them as a prayer to the Lord.
MARKS AND DAILY PRAYERS
TUESDAY
1. The Mark to Look for: There will be a growing and intensified hunger for the Word and things of God as well as a passion for prayer.
The Prayer:
Pray that the Lord would give us a
nagging burden for Him in the
consistent practice of prayer and
time in the Word.
2. The Mark to Look For: There will be evident acts of spiritual warfare and attacks on our faith.
The Prayer:
Pray for our eyes to discern the
enemy, to resist and fight his
assaults by word and prayer.
Note This: The devil attacks that which He believes to be a threat to his kingdom. If you are attacked, it is
because he fears what the Lord has for you and will do through you if you would believe and trust the Lord.
3. The Mark to Look For: There will be an exposure of our heart to us with a nagging sense of shame which will lead to an act of repentance.
The Prayer:
Ask the Lord to show each of us
our hearts as He sees them.
